Let us show you how to save time, minimize the leg work and overcome high costs when planning your next visit. Assistance Locating Appropriate Hotel & Meeting Facilities Tired of playing phone tag? Let the Overland Park Convention & Visitors Bureau find the perfect location for your event - free of charge. We will check availability at Overland Park hotels/motels and alternative meeting facilities, organize proposals and arrange a site visit to familiarize you with the many accommodations, attractions and activities Overland Park has to offer. Bureau representatives can also provide presentations and bid books about Overland Park. Promotional & Informational Materials The Overland Park Convention & Visitors Bureau has many items to help familiarize both you and your attendees with our city. Promotional materials include: Visitors Guide Brochures of Area Attractions Plastic bags for registration materials Personalized event calendar for the metro area during your meeting dates Online RFP Meeting planners have the capability of submitting an electronic request for proposal here on this web site. Complimentary Group Services REGISTRATION & EVENT ASSISTANCE Successful conventions, meetings and special events begin with efficient, courteous and knowledgeable personnel who are well-trained and ready to fulfill your delegates' needs. The Overland Park Convention & Visitors Bureau offers a complimentary ambassador program to assist with those needs. Ambassadors are available to distribute your literature and registration materials and answer questions about the area and local attractions. Four weeks notice is requested to secure ambassador volunteers. WELCOME ADDRESS AND/OR LETTER Arrangements may be made through the Convention Services Department for a community dignitary to welcome your group to the area or provide letters of welcome. WELCOME BOOTH A tabletop booth is available for display featuring Overland Park attraction brochures and visitor information. Publicity The Bureau has a communications department to assist you in publicizing your convention, meeting or special event. The CVB also has its own News Bureau, which serves as a vehicle for distributing press releases or media advisories before your meeting or event. |
