Overland Park has 78 parks, open space areas and four small lakes available for public use. Ten of these parks have shelters that can be reserved for a small fee. Other shelters can be used on a first come first serve basis. Overland Park - Administered Parks CORPORATE WOODS FOUNDERS' PARKS 9711 W. 109th Street Located in Corporate Woods business park and part of the Indian Creek Bike-Hike Path, these parks also have picnic shelters. DEANNA ROSE CHILDREN'S FARMSTEAD 138th Street & Switzer Road Overland Park, KS 66225 (913) 897-2360 Open April through October Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Open on Tuesdays & Thursdays until 8 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day. 12-acres featuring farm animals, butterfly garden, fish pond, wagon and pony rides, and much more. INDIAN CREEK BIKE-HIKE PATH (913) 327-6630 Runs nearly 10 miles from 109th Street & El Monte to 125th Street & Pflumm. Access is available from several parks, including Corporate Woods Founders' Park and Indian Creek Recreation Center. Nature information and exercise stations located along the path. INDIAN CREEK RECREATION CENTER 103rd Street & Marty Street Also located along the Indian Creek Bike-Hike Path, this park encompasses park shelters, exercise stations and eight tennis courts. OVERLAND PARK ARBORETUM & BOTANICAL GARDENS 179th Street & Antioch Road (913) 685-3604 Open All Year The aboretum is comprised of one- and two-mile walking trails with nature information. The 300-acre site offers waterfalls, flowers & a variety of gardens. OVERLAND PARK COMMUNITY PARK 13700 Switzer Road Playground, soccer/softball fields, skate park, sand volleyball, and basketball courts. SOUTH LAKE PARK 87th Street & Robinson Street Includes basketball courts, picnic areas, playgrounds and a small fishing lake. STRANG PARK 88th Street & Farley Street Honored for W.B. Strang, Jr., founder of Overland Park. Features basketball courts, picnic areas, playgrounds and two tennis courts. THOMAS S. STOLL MEMORIAL PARK 12500 W. 119th Street The park consists of seven athletic playing fields, a small fishing lake, off-leash dog area, picnic shelter, playground and a walking trail.
